Grand Lodge
The Square & Compasses
Arvada #130, A.F&A.M. August 2008

From the East

Brothers, as the summer moves on toward the fall, I hope you have all been able to enjoy time with families, vacation and lots of cool relaxation.
Please remember that the Lodge continues working during the summer. We have many candidates standing on degrees and look forward to your support for them from the sidelines.
Also, as the consolidation of Arvada Lodge #130 and Westminster Lodge #176 has now been approved by both Lodges, we will continue to work close with our Brethren in Westminster as we await the approval of the Grand Lodge in January of 2009. This is a move toward the future that will strengthen Masonry in the Denver Metro area.
Please remember to let me know of any sick or distressed Brethren. We need to support each other at all times and remember those Brothers that need our attention and assistance.

See you in Lodge.

From the Secretary's Desk

The long, hot summer continues toward an exciting and fulfilling time in Westminster. As the Worshipful Master points out, both Westminster Lodge No 176 and Arvada Lodge No 130 have approved consolidation of the two Lodges. The proposition now goes before the Grand Lodge at their next annual communication in January. Upon approval of the Grand Lodge, the newly consolidated Paul Revere Lodge No 130 will move Westminster Masonry into the future with hope and promise.
I personally apologize for the lack of Trestle Boards the last couple of months. The summer has proven to be a personal challenge for me and my family in several ways and I was not able to give my attention to a few of the administrative tasks of the Lodge.
Rest assured that the required reports have been submitted to the Grand Lodge in a timely fashion and that my family situation has returned to some semblance of normalcy. I want to thank the Brethren who lent their support and comfort during this time. Know that it was very much appreciated.
As we prepare to resume our regular meetings in September, we are making arrangements for a celebration of our 100 Years of Masonry in Colorado. More to come next month.
If you have some spare time, the Lodge is sorely in need of a Calling Committee to assist in keeping in touch with our members. If you’re interested, please contact the Lodge.
